If you find it in your heart to care for somebody else, you will have succeeded - Maya Angelou
At a very early age, Rosemarie Tamunday-Casanova was the primary caregiver for her ailing father. She spent countless hours at the hospital after school participating in both personal as well as medical needs so her mother could work to support the family of seven children. Her father passed away at an early age of 45 years old.
Five years later, she did the same to her aging grandmother. By the time she reached the age of 19, she had earned her Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing. Too young to be in this profession, she went to work for a Swedish Pharmaceutical Company for 5 years as a Special Task Force Nurse.
Rosemarie is a certified critical care registered nurse, has a degree in Legal Nurse Consulting and a Masters Degree in Health Administration.
Rosemarie has extensive background in nursing from acute care, home care, nursing education and health care management and administration. Her longest career was a critical care nurse for Veterans HealthCare Administration.
Her company is an approved CPR training provider by American Safety and Health Institute (ASHI) to certify caregivers in emergency care. ASHI is an association of health and safety educators that provides certification in CPR, AED First Aid and other basic topics for laypersons and professionals.
Her passion for care giving continues as evidenced by her education and experience in the industry.
Rosemarie is an active member of the community. She is the past President of Siesta Key Kiwanis Club, a global organization of volunteers serving the children in the community and around the world.
She’s a new member of the Elk’s Club, an organization in Sarasota that invest in the community through programs that help children grow up healthy and drug-free, by undertaking projects that address unmet needs and by honoring the service and sacrifices of our veterans.
